2011 Jordan Shoes For Basketball

By Scott S Oberholser

They are back! The signature sneaker of one Michael Jordan. The basketball legend that created a legendary line of basketball sneakers. The Air Jordan line of sneakers has been around for over 20 years now. It has spawned a countless number of models of the original shoes that Michael himself wore on the NBA hardcourt for over a decade. Unfortunately, the last two years have been very unkind to the Jordan signature sneaker. The Jordan 2009 and the Jordan 2010 were sneakers that did not represent the man who created the legendary shoe very well. And that is not acceptable to Jordanheads, Jordan Brand, and Michael himself.

Hence, the Jordan 2011. Thank god for Tinker Hatfield and Tom Luedecke! It took several years, but these two Nike designers revived the Air Jordan. The Jordan 2011 brought back innovation and design, the two major components lacking in the 2 previous models of the best sneaker made for basketball. Innovation. There is plenty of that in this shoe. How many pairs of basketball shoes come with 2 different insoles? That's right. The Jordan 2011 features two separate interchangeable insoles that a player can use. Insoles that can be used depending on what type of basketball player you are.

Blue Sole-This inner sole is labeled "Be Quick" and is designed for ballers who need extra responsiveness in their shoe. It is firmer and consequently meant to allow for more movement for the player that has a quick, slashing type of game. This sole will feel more "active" to a player has a lot of lateral movement in his game.
Red Sole-This inner sole is labeled "Be Explosive" and is designed for the baller who needs extra cushioning for a softer ride. This is possible in this due to Cushlon foam midsole that this insole provides. This midsole allows for elevated surface for the foot.

This kind of innovative technology has made the Air Jordan 2011 one of the best performance shoes available. And, made it cool to wear the flagship Jordan model again. The aesthetics of this new Jordan are very similar in appearance to those of the Air Jordan Retros that continue to drop In other words, the look that made Jordans so popular back in the day, are back. Thanks in part to a man who had a hand reviving the Jordan line once before, Tinker Hatfield. Hatfield is the legendary designer who was responsible for the Jordan III, the shoe that made Jordan shoes what they are today.

So, it seems that is some sort of strange way that the Jordan line has come full circle. The Jordan 2011 has made Air Jordans popular again, thanks to the same man that originally made them popular. Pretty cool huh?
